About Paul O'Brien

My name is Paul O’Brien, and for nearly three decades, I have proudly called

Plainsboro home. I was honored to be appointed to the West Windsor–Plainsboro

Board of Education in July 2025 after a competitive public process. Since joining

the Board, I have served on the Finance Committee and have worked to apply

thoughtful, independent judgment to the complex and vital issues facing our

schools. I bring over 30 years of professional leadership experience across senior

living, healthcare, and real estate, industries where long-term planning, fiscal

oversight, and community engagement are essential. I have led multi-million-

dollar operations, consulted on public-service housing initiatives, and spoken

nationally on strategy and service. These skills translate directly to the demands

of responsible school governance.

But this work is personal, too. My wife, Denise, and I have raised our family here,

and we’ve both been deeply engaged in the district for many years. I currently

serve as President of the Northern Knights Marching Band Boosters and

previously helped found the Plainsboro Business Partnership and served on

Plainsboro’s Human Relations Council. Denise, meanwhile, has been a driving

force in the Girl Scouts community for over a decade, providing steady leadership

and mentorship to girls and young women across the district.

Throughout my life, I have focused on lifting others up, especially those who may

not always have a strong voice, and I bring that same perspective to Board

service. I am not running with personal agenda, but with a deep belief in public

education, in thoughtful decision-making, and in the importance of collaboration,

inclusion, and integrity. My record of leadership, fiscal accountability, and civic

engagement makes me uniquely qualified to continue serving our district, and I

would be honored to earn your support.
